Technological reliability is the ability of a product or material to meet the working or use expectations over time.
This warranty can be obtained by simulating the stress conditions to which the product or material is subjected during its life cycle, when the manufacturer must guarantee the functioning or use to the customer.
Gestlabs offers a wide-range technological-reliability service based on studies and experiments and focused on the specific required technology, evaluating reliability in the requested operating conditions. The technologies range from electronics to different industrial sectors (automotive, medical, aerospace, etc.). The service covers electronic components (including solder joints and printed boards), materials (polymers, alloys, etc.) and mechanical parts.
Lab tests
Through rigorous analysis and laboratory tests, Gestlabs can evaluate the reliability of:
- Solder joints with lead-free alloys or solder pastes — guaranteeing to the manufacturer their functionality during the life cycle of the product.
- Plastic materials used as electrical-product shells, which can lose their protective and insulating properties when exposed to environmental conditions.
- Connectors with metal components subject to wear and/or corrosion over time.
